Healthcare is a hot topic, and has been for a long time. Some want what is called “Medicare for All” (aka publicly funded), while some want what is incorrectly called the current free market (it’s not free in any way, it’s an artificially protected market), and arguments are made for both.
I’m not going to regurgitate what each one means or advocates, if you’re up on issues you know. If you’re not there are resources available. I’m going to focus on the solution. Here ya go…
- Implement “Medicare for All”. Everyone is covered for everything for “free”. (Yes, taxes, I know, nothing is truly ever free.)
- With an easy “Opt Out” process for those who do not believe in publicly funded healthcare and believe everyone should be responsible on their own. These people will not be assessed higher taxes or have to pay for the system in any way. They also will get NOTHING in services, not even emergency care or services, from the public system.
- Dissolve all private employer healthcare insurance. Those who want collective insurance will pay higher taxes. Those who do not want a collective system and who do not want to pay for others can find their own private insurance and do what’s best for themselves and/or their families.
There ya go. Three simple steps. Everyone gets what they want , and without stepping on the toes of people who don’t want the same. Easy peasy. Let’s do it!
